Our product is unique in the industry and is designed to be as versatile as possible; we can truly say that we can support and design solutions for any need for pressurized welding enclosures (‘PWE’) /Habitats. The simplicity of our product makes the solutions stronger and easier to work with in any size or configuration. The Tri-Diamond™ design of the panels used to make the Habitats are far superior in functionality, usability, flexibility and modularity compared to any other solution available in the industry.

Tri-Diamond™ Habitat

The main focus of the Tri-Diamond™ Habitat is to make Hot-Work safe through maintaining a positive pressure inside the PWE/Habitat to keep out potentially flammable or poisonous gases that may exist outside the hot-work environment and also to ensure spark containment within the PWE/Habitat so as not to ignite flammable or explosive gases outside the PWE/Habitat. In other words, we are creating a non-classified working zone inside a classified area.

In the Habitat industry the usual sizes of panels range from 1x1, 1x2 to 2x2 meter panels. The “standard” Habitat would likely be something like 2m x 2m x 2m. Those panel/Habitat sizes are not always the best solution when building on a real life platform. Therefore functionality, usability, flexibility and modularity of the industry standard panels and Habitats can be limited. The Tri-Diamond™ design was developed to provide solutions for any condition or situation without the limitations seen in the “standard” panels/Habitats. The Tri-Diamond™ is far superior and is set apart by its versatility.

The Tri-Diamond™ panels are connected and sealed together with fire retardant hook and loop. The Tri-Diamond™ panel’s flexible design can accommodate any obstacle and various sizes of pipework, structural steel and other components to penetrate and be integrated into the Tri-Diamond™ Habitat. These openings are resealed by employing different types of material and consumables to ensure that pressurization and spark containment are maintained. The Tri-Diamond™ panels can easily be replaced or removed to allow rigging, pipes or any other object to be incorporated into or removed from the Habitat and then re-sealed quickly. Tri-Diamond™ Habitat can quickly and easily be dismantled and moved to another location.

The potential sizes, dimensions and configurations are virtually limitless. You name it, we can do it.

The Automatic Shutdown System

The automatic safety shutdown system is designed as an emergency shutdown system that is capable of giving audio and visual warning based on gas sensor readings at the air intake and/or inside Tri-Diamond™ Habitat to enable manual shutdown or automatically terminate Hot-Work inside Tri-Diamond™ Habitat.

The Automatic Shutdown System is unique due to its modularity. We can, at any time, configure the system to the needs and desires of our client. The system can monitor for 17 different gases but only 5 at a time. That gives more than 10,000 different configurations.

The Automatic Shutdown System will in the most common setup monitor for Lower explosive limit (LEL), poisonous gases like Hydrogen Sulfide (H2S) and Oxygen (O2) plus for pressure difference between the inside of the Tri-Diamond™ Habitat and the outside. The system will have monitors for LEL and H2S placed at the air intake outside of Tri-Diamond™ Habitat in case the air for some reason suddenly would get polluted. Inside the Tri-Diamond™ Habitat we will monitor the pressure, the O2 level and LEL. The LEL monitor at the inside will be placed at a high point near the air outtake.

The Automatic Shutdown System is controlled by a PLC unit which can be placed inside or outside of Tri-Diamond™ Habitat. The control box with the PLC inside is the size of a laptop so it is easy to move around and it does not take up too much space.

From the control box we monitor gases and pressure plus at the same time we control welding, grinding, power, etc to all Hot-Work inside Tri-Diamond™ Habitat. In case of detection of gases or loss of pressure all Hot-Work equipment shutdowns automatically. It is also possible for our certified technicians to manually shutdown if deemed necessary.

Roboka Certified Hot-Work Safety Technicians

Roboka™ places all our technicians through an intensive and thorough training to become certified Hot-Work Safety Technicians. The training teaches our technicians to understand what Hot-Work is and be professionals in all safety procedures to prevent accidents concerning Hot-Work. The training also gives them a thorough understanding of our products and services so they can act as experts to our client’s questions and concerns. Providing our technicians with the Hot-Work safety knowledge gives them an understanding as to why they are erecting a Tri-Diamond™ Habitat and the purposes of the Habitat. Our technicians goes through various simulations and real life situations of challenging obstacles to assemble the Tri-Diamond™ Habitat in a SAFE manner and efficient time frame. The training ensures that all our technicians have the knowledge and experience to provide our clients with the optimal solutions in any situation.
